Application Case | Reagent-Free, Full-Spectrum Water Quality Monitoring for Urban Water Management
2026-04-21
Optosky has developed a comprehensive water quality monitoring product system covering spatial, underwater, surface, laboratory, and portable rapid detection. This customer case focuses on practical application.
01 Project Overview
Customer: Xiamen Jimei District Water Resources Bureau
Application Direction: In-situ Online Water Quality Monitoring
Traditional chemical reagent methods involve complex procurement, storage, disposal, and high maintenance costs. They also suffer from long detection cycles and slow response, making it difficult to provide timely warnings and rapid traceability—especially at discharge outlets and water sources. Spectroscopic methods require no chemical reagents, eliminating reagent-related logistics and waste disposal, reducing environmental pollution risk, saving over 50% on consumables, and lowering maintenance costs.
The Optosky ATE5300 Full-Spectrum Multi-Parameter Online Water Quality Monitoring Station overcomes these limitations. It delivers results in seconds, provides real-time alerts when deployed at discharge outlets, enables rapid identification and upstream tracing of pollution sources, and won the project bid with its leading performance and engineering adaptability.

The ATE5300 is a highly integrated, flexibly deployable water quality monitoring station. It uses Optosky’s self-developed full-spectrum core technology, offering reagent-free operation, direct in-situ measurement, and second-level response. It outputs over ten parameters including COD, ammonia nitrogen, total phosphorus, total nitrogen, TOC, turbidity, TSS, and temperature, providing accurate and efficient data support for urban water authorities.
The system features a pump-sampling structure and robust protection circuitry for complex electromagnetic and climatic environments. It requires minimal installation space, no additional land acquisition, and supports remote calibration and modular maintenance, reducing long-term operating costs. It performs reliably in municipal wastewater plants, drinking water sources, and industrial discharge outlets.
The successful delivery of this project continues to support Jimei District in building a scientific and efficient water quality supervision system.
