OPTOSKY AT MNIRSM 2026——Advancing Spectroscopy Collaboration in Southeast Asia

The 1st Malaysia Near Infrared Spectroscopy Meeting (MNIRSM 2026), Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang
From 14–15 September 2026, Optosky participated in the 1st Malaysia Near Infrared Spectroscopy Meeting (MNIRSM 2026), held at the School of Physics, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in Penang. As a main sponsor and co-organising partner, Optosky joined researchers, universities and industry representatives from across the region for two days of technical exchange and application-focused discussion.
01 From spectroscopy research to real-world applications

The conference brought together work in near-infrared spectroscopy, hyperspectral imaging, chemometrics, Raman, FTIR, UV-Vis-NIR, optical sensing and photonics. Discussions highlighted how spectroscopy is increasingly being applied in agriculture and food, environmental monitoring, biomedical research, advanced materials and industrial analysis.
02 Knowledge sharing, demonstrations and new connections

The Optosky delegation delivered a technical presentation on hyperspectral imaging and AI-enabled applications, while the event also featured workshops, equipment demonstrations and laboratory visits. These sessions created valuable opportunities for direct discussion with researchers and potential collaborators across Malaysia and the wider Southeast Asian academic community.
03 Building a stronger spectroscopy ecosystem in Southeast Asia
For Optosky, MNIRSM 2026 was more than a conference. It was an opportunity to strengthen brand visibility, understand emerging research needs and connect spectroscopy technologies with future academic and application projects in the region.
Following the event, Optosky will continue engaging with universities, research groups and partners on joint research, application validation, training and long-term collaboration opportunities.
“Connecting spectroscopy, research and applications across Southeast Asia.”
